The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is a historic five-star hotel along the Singapore River. It blends classic elegance with modern comfort, creating a unique and memorable stay. The building was once the city’s main post office, and its neoclassical design gives it a special charm.

We stayed at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, a comfortable and artistic hotel in the heart of the Arts and Heritage District. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and we chose this place mainly for its central location, which made it easy to reach all the sights we planned to visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to our experience. This four-star hotel is about 1 km from the city center and offers easy access to major attractions, either by a short MRT ride or a pleasant walk.

Travel note
We’ve always enjoyed Hilton hotels, and during our travels in Malaysia we stayed at several Hilton properties for nearly three months.
Hilton Singapore Orchard
Hilton Singapore Orchard is located right in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore’s renowned shopping and entertainment district. This premium hotel offers modern, stylish rooms and suites, many with panoramic city views. Its prime location on Orchard Road with easy access to top shopping malls, dining spots, and entertainment venues.
If you are visiting Singapore during Christmas, this hotel is especially convenient because it is close to Orchard Road’s festive attractions. Hilton Singapore Orchard offers several dining options, an outdoor pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a relaxing spa. Whether you are visiting for leisure or business, this hotel provides comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury, making it a great place to stay.
Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong
Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong is a modern and comfortable hotel in the lively Katong district. We chose it for its great location, which puts you close to local attractions, shopping areas, and many great dining spots. The laundry facility, well-equipped gym, and complimentary breakfast made our stay even better, giving us everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The hotel is about 15 minutes by car or a 35 minute MRT ride from central Singapore, making it easy to get around. We have used different transportation options during our trips to Singapore, which you can learn more about in our What You Need to Know Before Traveling to Singapore post.
Our room at the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong was clean and had a comfy bed with four pillows—something that’s always important to us! On the downside, the room didn’t have a desk and felt a bit small, but given the perfect location and great price for a 4-star hotel, it was well worth it.
Our Favorite Hotel Perk
One of our favorite features of the Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong was the most advanced smart juice machine, available 24/7. Every day, we found ourselves using it a few times to enjoy fresh, pure squeezed orange juice. It only took a few minutes, and it quickly became a highlight of our stay. We absolutely loved this unique touch! I even found myself wishing I had this machine at home—it was that good!
