Where Is Anguilla?
If you’re wondering where Anguilla is, it’s a hidden gem just a ferry ride away from Sint Maarten. The journey takes about 25 minutes, and ferries run throughout the day every three hours. You could easily plan a day trip, but let me tell you—one day is never enough! We highly recommend spending at least a few days to truly soak in everything this island paradise has to offer.
To catch the ferry, head to the Marigot Ferry Port in Sint Maarten. Before you board, you’ll need to get your visa and pay a port fee of $5 per person. Once on the boat, the ferry ticket is an additional $20 per person. It’s a quick and smooth process, and before you know it, you’re on your way to paradise!

Where to Stay in Anguilla?
If you’re ready to treat yourself to a little luxury, the Four Seasons Resort is an excellent choice. With stunning beachfront views, top-notch service, and a truly relaxing atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy paradise. We had a few unforgettable dinners there, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Imagine waking up to the sound of waves gently lapping the shore as you sip your morning coffee—pure bliss. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the entire experience just radiated relaxation and luxury.

For a more budget-friendly option, we stayed at Turtle’s Nest Beach Resort, and it’s an absolute gem you can’t miss. Just a short walk from the Four Seasons, this beachfront spot offers cozy one-bedroom apartments with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Plus, you can’t beat the convenience of stepping right onto the beach from your door! It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to enjoy the beauty of Anguilla without breaking the bank.

Cheers to a Great Anguilla Adventure
From the moment we opened the door to our room, we knew this trip was off to a perfect start. Waiting for us was a beautiful, unexpected surprise—a complimentary bucket filled with goodies like nuts, snacks, and a bottle of red wine. It was such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for an amazing stay. And as fate would have it, it was Dan’s birthday, so this big bucket of treats turned into the perfect way to kick off our celebration. A wonderful welcome to Anguilla, indeed!

Exploring Our Stay in Anguilla
During our time in Anguilla, we enjoyed the best of both worlds by staying in two different beachfront apartments—a cozy studio and a spacious one-bedroom unit. We spent the first two days in the studio before transferring to the one-bedroom apartment. You might wonder why we do this, and it’s quite simple: we love to explore!
We always book for two to three nights to get a feel for the resort and figure out which room and location suit us best. We test the internet, check the amenities, and if we love it, we extend our stay. If not, we’re ready to move on to the next property. It’s all about making sure we’re happy and comfortable.
Both the studio and one-bedroom apartment had their charm, but the one-bedroom won us over with its spacious living room and nice kitchen. We even cooked a few meals during our stay, which was a fun way to enjoy the local flavors. Plus, the local supermarket was just a short walk away, making it easy to stock up on essentials.

Both bedrooms were nice and spacious, with soft, comfortable mattresses that made for a great night’s sleep. We truly appreciated the cozy atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Sunsets, Sea Breezes, and Moonlit Nights
Let me tell you about our view—it was absolutely incredible! With a beachfront location, we enjoyed stunning sunsets every evening. We spent hours on the balcony, either working and planning our next adventure or simply soaking in the breathtaking scenery. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore created a soothing backdrop, and gazing at the moonlit sea at night felt like stepping into a storybook. It was a magical experience!

The Great Debate: Poolside Relaxation vs. Ocean Waves
The pool was clean and beautiful, and we spent countless hours there, soaking up the sun. Sometimes we had a hard time choosing between the pool and the sea. What about you—how do you choose? And which one wins? For us, most of the time, the sea takes the crown. There’s something special about the gentle waves and the salty water that keeps calling us back.

Rooftop Sunsets in Anguilla
One of our favorite spots on the property was the rooftop. It wasn’t a fancy rooftop, but the views and sunsets from up there were simply stunning. If you ever visit this property, we highly recommend making a rooftop sunset part of your itinerary. There are also tables and chairs if you’d like to enjoy a sunset dinner or just sip a glass of wine while taking it all in. By the way, Anguilla has some of the best sunsets we’ve ever seen!
