What truly sets this walk apart is the sensory experience. As you walk along, you’ll feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and a gentle breeze in your hair. Breathing in the fresh air and feeling the ground beneath your feet provides a calming, grounding sensation, helping you leave your worries behind.
During the rainy season, the greenery becomes especially vibrant, though even in the dry season, the colors remain captivating. Along the way, you’ll find small cafes and shops offering quick refreshments or snacks.
The walk itself takes around 40 minutes, but with so much beauty to take in, you’ll likely want to stop often. Consider timing your visit to catch the sunrise or sunset for a truly magical experience, though the peaceful atmosphere is beautiful at any time of day.
The Campuhan Ridge Walk is a free activity that provides an affordable way to experience Bali’s breathtaking countryside. There are plenty of local stands where you can grab some delicious drinks and snacks along the way, so make sure to bring some cash.

Best Way to Reach the Campuhan Ridge Walk
There are a few ways to reach the Campuhan Ridge Walk. The best options are by foot, bicycle, or scooter, as parking is extremely limited and finding a space can be challenging.
The starting point of the walk is within walking distance from central Ubud. From Ubud Palace, head toward Warwick IBAH Luxury Villas and Spa, which is about a 10-minute walk. To find the entrance, turn into the Warwick Ibah property and then take a left down the hill before reaching the hotel. After crossing a small footbridge to the right of the bridge at the bottom of the hill, you’ll arrive at the official starting point, marked by a paved walkway.
This route offers a seamless entry into the natural beauty of the Campuhan Ridge, with easy access from the heart of Ubud.

Namo Warung Café at the End of the Walk
Taking a break and enjoying refreshments and a small snack after a walk in nature is always a nice way to unwind. And what could be a better way to do so than visiting one of the cafes located at the end of the walk? Our favorite was Namo Warung Café, where we had a delightful experience.
Namo Warung Café is a hidden gem nestled at the end of the walk with stunning jungle views in an open space. As we walked into the café, we were greeted by the sight of a big papaya tree in front of us, adding to the beauty of the surroundings. The café had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff. To satisfy our thirst, we ordered some fresh smoothies and coconuts.
If you’re feeling exhausted after the walk, consider taking a taxi ride back to town from the cafes located at the end of the walk. The taxi ride takes only 6-7 minutes and costs around USD 4-5 or IDR 60,000-70,000.

Discovering the Best Papaya Smoothie in Bali at Namo Warung Café
The smoothies were made with locally-sourced fresh fruits and were packed with flavor, while the coconuts were freshly cut and added to the tropical vibe of the place. We sipped on our drinks while enjoying the fresh breeze and soaking in the beautiful views. The Balinese music playing in the background added to the atmosphere and made us feel like we were truly experiencing the local culture. We even had the chance to chat with some of the locals, who were happy to share their knowledge of the area and offer recommendations for other places to visit.
Top Essentials to Bring for Your Campuhan Ridge Walk
Here are some essential items you should bring with you:

- Insect repellent: To prevent mosquito or insect bites during your walk, it’s recommended to bring insect repellent with you.
