When we were looking for the perfect place to stay in Bali, we initially wanted to settle in Seminyak because of its proximity to the airport, beautiful beaches, and delicious restaurants. Since we planned to stay for an extended period, we thought Seminyak would be a great starting point. But because we wanted to experience all the different sides of Bali, we eventually decided to explore other areas as well.

Seminyak’s tranquil atmosphere and less crowded beaches make it an ideal destination. With stunning beaches like Double Six Beach, Batu Belig Beach, and Kuta Beach, we were spoiled for choice. Seminyak is also renowned for its exceptional restaurants, offering a culinary experience like no other. Situated on the west coast of Bali, it offers breathtaking sunset views over the ocean, making it even more memorable.

The area boasts a wide range of accommodation options, from luxurious villas to budget-friendly guesthouses, catering to all types of travelers. Seminyak is also home to a vibrant nightlife scene, with numerous bars, clubs, and restaurants perfect for socializing and meeting new people. For shopping enthusiasts, Seminyak offers plenty of boutiques and markets where you can find clothing, jewelry, and other souvenirs.

In addition to its beautiful beaches like Petitenget Beach and Batu Belig Beach—ideal for surfing and swimming—Seminyak’s central location makes it easy to access other popular areas in Bali, including Kuta, Ubud, and Canggu. Plus, it’s only 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Denpasar airport, which is about a 35-minute taxi ride or a scenic 55-minute public bus journey away. If you’re taking a taxi, the fare usually ranges between 60,000 to 70,000 IDR (3.80–4.50 USD), but be sure to confirm the price with the driver beforehand. For budget travelers, the public bus offers an excellent way to soak in the local culture and scenery.

The Awan Villa

We stayed in a luxurious Balinese-style villa right in the heart of the city center, close to the beach, amazing restaurants, and all the activities we had planned. This beautiful escape offered everything we needed for a relaxing stay, with a private pool perfect for refreshing dips under the sun and surrounded by vibrant flowers and greenery.

The Awan Villa features an inviting dining and breakfast area, along with a cozy living pavilion—all beautifully decorated with Balinese-inspired touches. We also loved having a fully equipped kitchen, where we could prepare our favorite meals. What made the experience extra special, though, was the unique outdoor living room, which allowed us to unwind among lush tropical greenery. Complete with a flat-screen TV and satellite channels, it was the perfect spot to enjoy the surroundings and catch up on our favorite shows after a long day of exploring.

The Awan Villa Outside Living Room

Our stay at this villa was all about relaxation and ease. The villa itself was spacious, sparkling clean, and equipped with thoughtful details like daily housekeeping, fresh towels, and even evening mosquito coil service for added comfort. If we needed anything, the friendly staff was always available to help, offering bike rentals and laundry services that made our stay stress-free.

The Awan Villas, located on Jl. Raya Batu Belig 168 in Seminyak, is in an ideal spot—a quick 5-minute walk to Batu Belig Beach, where we could enjoy the sun and surf anytime. Plus, being close to the vibrant city center gave us access to a lively area full of fantastic dining and entertainment options.

Prices for this little slice of paradise range between 2,390,000 IDR to 3,200,000 IDR, which is around 155 to 210 USD, depending on the season and availability. It’s a luxurious experience that made us feel at home in Bali.

The Awan Villa Private Pool

As soon as we arrived and stepped through the doors, we were captivated by the villa’s stunning private pool. Surrounded by vibrant flowers, it had an inviting, refreshing look that made it impossible to resist. With no plans for the day, we jumped in right away! The crystal-clear water was perfect for cooling off and basking in the sun. That afternoon, we found ourselves fully immersed in the peaceful atmosphere, unwinding in the pool and escaping the day’s heat.

For those considering a vacation here, choosing a villa with a private pool makes a huge difference. Some villas don’t offer this luxury, but having the pool and villa all to yourself adds a special level of relaxation and enjoyment that can truly elevate your stay.

Breakfast at the villa was more than just a meal – it was an experience. Each morning, the staff arrived at the time we requested, ready to serve a delicious spread. There were two options to choose from: the traditional table breakfast or the famous Bali-style pool breakfast. Of course, we couldn’t visit Bali without trying the Instagram-worthy pool breakfast.

If you’re not familiar, a pool breakfast is exactly what it sounds like: breakfast served on a floating tray in the pool. You get to enjoy your meal while floating in the water, soaking up the morning sun and surrounded by tranquil views. It’s a fun, unique way to start the day and feels like a true indulgence.

As the sun rose, we were greeted by a symphony of birdsong that set a calm tone for the day. Our breakfast each morning was delightful, with the aroma of fresh dishes filling the air as we woke up. From fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon to fresh fruit and homemade jelly, everything was delicious. We sipped on freshly squeezed orange and watermelon juice, savoring the flavors as a gentle breeze and the peaceful birdsong completed the scene. It was a morning ritual that became one of our favorite parts of the day.

The Awan Villa Traditional Breakfast

The tea served to us in the villa smelled amazing, like a tropical fragrances that filled our senses. The Balinese are experts in tea-making, and it showed in every sip we took. We enjoyed the tea by the pool and felt grateful for the chance to experience such a magical moment in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The Awan Villa provided us with a great and peaceful experience. From start to finish, every moment was beautiful. We loved our experience and cannot wait to return for another stay. The villa was very peaceful and luxurious with comfortable amenities. Thank you, Awan Villa, for an amazing stay!

Temuku Ubud Villa

Temuku Villa was the perfect spot for a peaceful and luxurious stay during our time in Bali. The villa is spacious and elegant, surrounded by beautiful rice field views, and on clear days, you can even catch sight of the majestic volcano in the distance. We loved the private pool, which was perfect for cooling off on the hot afternoons. The lush garden also provided a calming space to relax and unwind.

What really stood out during our stay was the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. They were always ready to assist with anything we needed, which added a personal touch to the experience. The food and drinks were also excellent. We had the chance to choose our breakfast in advance, which made it even more convenient. One of our favorite moments was having breakfast by the pool, enjoying the peaceful surroundings while eating delicious dishes.

There was one downside to our stay: the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. However, this wasn’t a huge issue for us since we were mostly enjoying the villa’s beauty and relaxing atmosphere. The location of Temuku Villa is another great feature. It’s far enough from the main road to offer peace and quiet, but only a short scooter ride away from the vibrant culture and activities in Ubud Center.

Temuku Villa is located at Jalan Pura Ulun Carik No. 7, Br. Lungsiakan, Desa Kedewatan. Prices start at 2,053,387 IDR (around 133 USD), depending on the season. If you’re looking for a serene and luxurious place to stay in Bali, with easy access to Ubud, this villa is a great choice.

Just a breezy 5-minute scooter ride down the main street, we arrived at the doorstep of Temuku Cafe. After a long day of exploring, we took a moment to unwind and indulge in some heavenly homemade pastries while sipping on a cup of afternoon tea. It was the perfect way to cap off an amazing day in paradise. On our way to the villa’s café, we enjoyed a scenic journey through beautiful rice fields and a charming, bumpy road, which made it a delightful experience for all of our senses. This is also a meeting spot for all tour pick-ups.

Samkhya Villa

After our delightful stay at Temku Villa, we were eagerly looking forward to exploring our next destination – Samkhya Villa, a true paradise that promised to transport us to a world of luxury and serenity. As we made our way to the villa, we were immediately surrounded by natural beauty and vibrant flowers, creating a sense of tranquility.

The villa is located at Jalan Pura Ulun Carik No. 7, Br. Lungsiakan, Desa Kedewatan, and prices start at 2,053,387.00 Indonesian Rupiah, which is approximately $133 USD, depending on the season and availability.

Samkhya Villa

We were picked up by the villa’s personal golf cart, named “the Ferrari”, and rode around the beautiful rice fields and very narrow path that looked like a curvy site. Upon arriving at Samkhya Villa, we were completely taken aback by its sheer beauty. Located deep in the jungle, it offered a unique experience, with the only sounds being the gentle rustling of leaves and the sweet melodies of birds singing in the trees.

The two-bedroom villa we stayed in was absolutely breathtaking. As we walked through the entrance, we were struck by the beauty of its design. The villa had charming decor and beautiful poolside settings. Our villa also had its own kitchen, a big refrigerator, and a beautiful garden. The room was practical, cozy, and inviting, with warm and welcoming colors. The comfortable bed allowed us to sleep well, surrounded by the calming sounds of nature. The high ceiling added an air of spaciousness to the room, making it feel even more luxurious. The villa was kept clean by the daily housekeeping staff, who paid close attention to every detail, ensuring that every corner of the villa was spotless. Although the villa’s spa and wellness center were available for our use, we were so content in our own villa that we did not venture out to these amenities.

Samkhya Villa

After a long day exploring Ubud, there’s nothing quite like relaxing in a traditional Balinese flower bath. Bali is famous for this experience and once you try it, you’ll understand why. The warm water infused with fragrant flower petals, coconut milk, and essential oils is pure bliss. It’s a sensory feast that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. As you soak in the luxurious blend of flower petals and herbs, surrounded by the stunning jungle views, you’ll be transported to a world of pure relaxation. And once you step out of the bath, the refreshing outdoor shower is a brand-new experience, allowing you to soak up the beauty of your surroundings even more. You’ll feel refreshed and revitalized, ready to take on whatever adventures Bali has in store for you. The tradition of flower baths in Bali dates back centuries, and it’s easy to see why it’s still so popular today. It’s a true feast for the senses and an experience that will leave you feeling deeply relaxed, renewed, and connected to the beauty of the natural world.

Every morning, we were awakened by the soothing sounds of nature, and to our delight, a delicious breakfast was already being prepared by the villa staff just for us. Every night, we would inform the staff of our breakfast choices for the next morning and at what time we would like to be served.

The breakfast spread was exceptionally rich, featuring everything from omelets, potatoes, and sausages to homemade pastries, fresh pineapple juice, refreshing watermelon smoothies, toast with jelly, and a variety of fruits. However, what made the experience truly unique and unforgettable was the fact that we were enjoying this delicious meal surrounded by the lush jungle and the beautiful sounds of the birds. On some mornings, we would take our breakfast to the next level and order a floating breakfast. We would savor our delicious meal while floating in the pool and appreciating the stunning natural surroundings. After breakfast, we would take a refreshing morning swim and go for a lovely walk in the nearby rice fields, completely immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature.

We also had the pleasure of dining at the villa’s restaurant, which offered a variety of delicious cuisine. As we wanted to sample some Balinese dishes, our server recommended the Balinese shrimp soup, which happened to be the soup of the day. We were not disappointed – it was simply delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming, with traditional Balinese music playing softly in the background. The open-air design of the restaurant allowed for a refreshing breeze to flow through, enhancing the already delightful dining experience. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend the villa’s restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty dining experience in Bali – especially if you want to enjoy the convenience of dining without leaving the villa.

Febri’s Hotel & Spa

When we were planning our trip to Bali, we weren’t sure whether to go for a villa or a hotel. So, we decided to experience both and found that each had its own charm. Hotels in Bali offer that familiar comfort with room service, daily housekeeping, and all the usual amenities. But if you’re looking for something a bit more private and unique, villas take it to another level—think outdoor showers, lush jungle surroundings, and even your own private pool.

We spent part of our stay at a hotel in Kuta, which is right near the beach. Kuta is known for its vibrant atmosphere, bargain shopping, and chilled beach bars. It’s the place to go if you’re looking for a bit of fun and excitement. But we also wanted to experience both kinds of stays, and while hotels are great, there’s something about the villa experience that feels extra special.

In the end, it really comes down to what you want out of your trip. If you’re in the mood for privacy and a little luxury, a villa might be the way to go. We stayed at Febri’s Hotel & Spa in Kuta, and it was pretty affordable—around 512,000 IDR, or about 33 USD.

Also, you can’t visit Kuta without catching one of the stunning sunsets. The view of the sun setting over the beach is absolutely breathtaking, with colors painting the sky in shades of orange, pink, and purple. It’s the perfect way to wind down the day, whether you’re enjoying a quiet moment alone or hanging out with friends.
